The concert series for early music in St. Peter's Church is hosted and organized by the "Support Association for Music in St. Peter's Church Kirchdornberg in Bielefeld eV".

This concert series was initiated by Hans-Martin Knappe when he began his service as a church musician in the Evangelical Lutheran Church congregation of Dornberg in September 1974.

Since then, nationally and internationally renowned artists have given their listeners lasting concert experiences in over 360 concerts. The concept was and is to offer concerts in authentic interpretation on instruments of the respective period with outstanding musicians.
